What’s the purpose of your website? If you’re a photographer wanting to showcase your work, you’ll have a very different website to an artist selling canvas prints, or a writer whose main focus is lifestyle and business content.
If you’ve been working in a creative field, you’ve most probably experienced the “feast or famine” cycle, where you either have too many jobs and you’re really busy, or you’re staring at an empty calendar. Repeat.
“OMG…that photo is amazing! What camera do you use?!” This is a phrase I hear all the time, as I’m sure you do too… and as a photographer (a creative, an artist…) the way we take and edit a photo is uniquely ours.
Don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle. “Urrggghhhhh!!” That’s one sit-up! Meanwhile, the chick beside me has done 4 sit-ups, while also being punched in the stomach by the trainer after each one. She’s amazing! Oh yeah… she’s also been training for 5 years, and I’ve been training for 5 days.
